I discovered that my 2015 GTI's convenience shutting feature had stopped functioning, this happened after I replaced the battery. The automatic feature isn't functioning, but I can still manually close the windows and sunroof by touching the door's sensor or grasping the window switch. I've tried resetting to factory settings and opening and shutting down every window, but nothing appears to resolve the issue. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?

It sounds as though the windows may need to re-learnt their positions following the battery change. Try holding the switch for a few seconds while lowering each window all the way, then rising them all the way up while holding the switch once more. This can cause the convenience function to reset.

This one worked, I did this before.

I’ll try re-learning the positions by holding the switch for both lowering and raising the windows
