Hey everyone, I'm having a bit of a headache with my 2021 GTI SE's headlight. After replacing the damaged headlight assembly, I'm still getting the "Please check right low beam headlight" error.

I suspect it's either the Power Module (7P5941572A) or the Control Module (8V0907399D). Does anyone have experience with this issue or know which module I should replace? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like a problem with the wiring or the module. Make sure that the fuses are still in place and the headlight is connected correctly first. The Power Module is more likely to be the source of the low beam issue, therefore consider changing it first if the wiring appears to be in good condition.

What you can try is to swap the left/right side modules and in the end, scan the car again. This way you can identify the faulty one.

Sounds like your GTI’s headlight is giving you the ‘please check me’ drama! If you’ve already swapped the assembly, it’s likely one of those modules acting up. I’d start with the Power Module, it tends to be the culprit in these cases. But hey, if you end up replacing both, at least your car will be all bright and happy again!

Great idea also! Swapping the left and right modules could help pinpoint the faulty one. After swapping, run a scan to see if the issue follows the module. It’s a good way to troubleshoot before replacing parts. Just clear the error codes after to get an accurate read.
