Golf GTI High Beam Flash Issue

Hey. I'm running into a weird issue with my 2016 Golf GTI. The high beam flash thing doesn’t work when the low beams are off during the day, but it works fine when the low beams are on at night. I'm thinking it might be something in the coding that got messed with or maybe a faulty part. Anyone else had this problem before?

A quick VCDS scan should tell you if there is a coding problem. We can talk more after the scan.

It’s likely normal behavior, many cars require low beams on for high beam flash to work. You can check your manual or scan for coding changes with a diagnostic tool to confirm.

Thanks for the responses! I’ll definitely run a VCDS scan to see if there’s anything funky with the coding. I did notice the high beam flash works just fine when the headlights are on at night, so maybe it’s just how it’s supposed to be. I’ll take a peek at the manual too, just to be safe!
