Golf GTE key fob issues

Weird key fob issue with my Golf! It occasionally fails to unlock or lock the car, but then works perfectly the next day. This is happening over and over. I took it to the dealersince it’s under warranty and received a new key fob, but guess what? The same problem! Do you think it's a problem with the car itself at this point?

That would be likely, but what are the conditions you're having issues? Like, you walk up to it, click the button, and it just doesn't work?
