Golf stuck up charging port

Still early in the morning and I’m already not in the mood. Was going to charge my Golf today, and the charging port door clicked open normally. HOWEVER, the port itself appears to be stuck locked, and I am unable to fully insert the charger. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any ideas about what could be causing it?

I hope it's not the actuator, as they can be costly to replace.

Within six months of owning my Golf, I noticed a small locking pin near the charging port. Try pressing the instant charge button next to the port while simultaneously pressing the key fob's unlock button. possibly the pin just got jammed and needs some help to release.
