My washer fluid line is leaking. I don't know if I can fix it or if I need to replace the whole thing. Anyone know how hard it is to replace it?

With a few layers of Teflon tape sealed tightly, and with Gorilla tape on top you will fix it in less than 10 minutes. Replace it only if it has more than a few superficial cracks.

Replacing a leaking washer fluid line on a Volkswagen GTI isn’t too difficult. You’ll likely just need to replace the hose.

I’ve dealt with this before on my GTI, it’s usually a pretty easy fix depending on where the leak is. If it’s just a small crack or loose connection, you can patch it with heat shrink tubing or replace just the damaged section.

fixing the line yourself is doable but it depends on the leak's location. If it's a simple easy-to-reach split patching it up with new tubing and connectors should be straightforward. However if the leak is hidden or the line is damaged throughout it's a more complex repair, potentially requiring removing parts of the car. If you're handy and can easily see the leaktry fixing it yourself. If not, or if you're unsure of the line's path it's best to have a professional fix it.
