Turn signal issues

My 2014 Golf VII's turn signal is acting weird. It blinks three times and then stops, even though I'm still holding the lever. It doesn't always do it, but it's annoying. Could it be the switch or something else?

It seems like the switch is broken. You should probably replace the whole thing.

You can use a code reader to see if the turn signal switch is stuck.

I had the same with my old car where the turn signal would cut off prematurely. It ended up being a faulty switch that couldn’t hold the signal properly. If it’s intermittent, it might be the switch, but I'd check the relay and connections too, those can act up sometimes.
