I’ve been having some weird issues with my 2015 GTI’s power. Most of the time, it feels like the car isn’t pulling as hard as it should. But occasionally, it really takes off and feels great. It’s super inconsistent, though, and a bit frustrating.
I did a couple of pulls in 2nd and 3rd gear and noticed that the boost seems to drop off around 4k RPM. I also tried switching from Map 2 to Map 6 on my JB4 to test it out, but it got really jerky, almost like it was cutting fuel or something. The EPC light came on, so I quickly switched back to Map 2, and everything seemed fine again.
Here’s my setup:

Catless downpipe
Stock intake with a K&N filter (snow guard removed)
I was thinking of checking for boost leaks first, but does this sound like a fueling issue or maybe something with the JB4? Would love to hear if anyone’s had a similar issue or has ideas on what to check.
